IB Grading

IB Grading

Part of the IB philosophy is to provide the skills necessary to be successful in College and Career, as well as a global citizen.  Each subject taught in MYP has four criterion that must be assessed twice throughout the year using MYP Rubrics designed for each criterion in each subject.  The grade for the assessment goes into the teacher’s gradebook in Aeries and is a percentage of the overall grade.  The raw score on the rubric goes into a separate gradebook, called the IB gradebook, but is not connected to a grade.  The purpose of the IB gradebook is to keep track of student progress on the rubrics and provide parent information on the progress of the student in each class.
